My experience:
I bought the Viewsonic Optiquest Q22wb 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor from Newegg.
This was an upgrade from my dying 19" CRT monitor. In fact it died while I was ordering the replacement!
I had to follow up the order at work.
I hooked it up via the DVI connection and set the PC to 1680x1050.
The first thing I noticed was it is too bright out of the box.
Turning down the contrast and brightness clears this up.
The Text is very readable and clear. Color saturation is also good.
