Topic: Can't hear caller when Skype crashes and appicus restarts

I'm experiencing an issue that's been driving me nuts for months now and just now figured out whats happening.

The Skype clients crash occasionally and appicus restarts them.  When it does, I think the ports are still in use by the crashed Skype and aren't available to the new instance, thus we cannot hear any callers coming in on that instance.

This happens consistently and the only resolution is for me to stop all the Skype instances and the appicus service, wait a few seconds until everything is out of task manager, and restart the appicus service, which restarts the Skype lines.

Actually, I'm not sure if the ports become available after I close the Skype client crash dialog box, or after I just wait a few seconds.

Do you have any suggestions?

I made a new appicus version 20100706 that has a new option RestartDelaySeconds to put in the [Settings] section.

Try:
RestartDelaySeconds=10

It's possible you may not even need to set it since I added a mandatory delay of 2 seconds anyway.

You should receive the new one via email shortly. Let me know if you don't get it.

To update it, you need to stop the appicus service then copy the appicus folder elsewhere for a backup.

Extract the zip over the old one - no need to run the installer. Start it up. If it doesn't do the job as is then stop it and add the new setting.
